Greg Ellis grew up in a vibrant Evangelical Lutheran church in Fridley, MN. While studying for his MDiv at Fuller Theological Seminary, he discovered the Evangelical Covenant Church and knew that the Covenant would be a perfect fit for him. He has served in various pastoral roles in Covenant churches in the Twin Cities since 2005.
In the fall of 2013, he and his wife, Kari, were recommended to plant a church in the Northwest Conference. God has laid a vision for The Table on his heart, and he is humbled and ecstatic to be on this church planting adventure – one he never imagined embarking on when he first received the call to be a pastor. Although The Table is no longer under the umbrella of the Covenant but Communitas International, Greg maintains his ordination and relational ties as he serves the Covenant denomination leading coaching in the area of Missional Vitality.
Greg & Kari live in Savage. They enjoy cooking together, watching movies, going for long bike rides, and being a fun uncle and aunt to their seven nieces and nephews. Greg has recently stepped away from teaching full-time at Minnehaha Academy in order to coach and resource other pastors. You can see more about what Greg does as a coach on his website: Missional Coaching.
